Los Angeles premiere of Wicked November 9, 2024
At The Population Appeard, we had the exciting opportunity to witness Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo honor their iconic characters, Glinda and Elphaba, at the Los Angeles premiere of Wicked on November 9, 2024. The event was a dazzling celebration of the upcoming film, where both stars brought their characters to life with dramatic and fitting fashion choices.
Ariana, channeling her role as Glinda the Good Witch,
wore a stunning pink gingham Thom Browne gown, complete with a matching bow in her hair and crystal-encrusted heels. Her look was completed with pearl earrings, truly embodying the fairy-tale essence of Glinda.
On the other hand,
Cynthia Erivo, portraying the fierce Elphaba, embraced her character's signature green with a sleek green Louis Vuitton gown featuring bold cutouts and paired it with a dramatic floor-length fringe wrap. Erivo’s accessories, including a diamond and emerald collar necklace, added a touch of elegance, while her gemstone-topped nails elevated the overall look.
Throughout their press tour,
both Grande and Erivo have consistently paid homage to their Wicked roles, with memorable outfits seen at previous premieres, including in Sydney and New York. Their coordinated styles reflect the powerful, yet contrasting nature of their characters and have captured the attention of both fashion and film enthusiasts worldwide.
The premiere comes just days before Wicked hits theaters on November 22, and with such fashion-forward statements, it's clear that this iconic tale will not only captivate audiences with its story but also set trends in the fashion world.
